Hello from Tokyo! ๐ŸŒธ Packing Our Very First Boxes!

ใ“ใ‚“ใซใกใฏ! We're the team behind PopnCandy Tokyo. Here's the story of packing Day 1 โ€” chaotic, joyful, and completely candy-fueled.

Where It All Started

Our operation runs from a candy-filled apartment in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. We'd watched international friends lose their minds at Nerunerunerune, and thought: someone should be shipping these properly. We decided that someone should be us.

The Sourcing Trip ๐Ÿ›’

Two weeks before our first ship date, we made "The Mission" โ€” a full day at Donki Donki, Tokyu Hands, and three candy wholesalers. We came home with:

  • 48 boxes of Nerunerunerune (grape, strawberry, cola, limited peach)
  • 36 Popin' Cookin' sushi sets
  • 24 Popin' Cookin' ramen kits
  • A frankly irresponsible number of Kracie hamburger sets

The taxi driver looked at the mountain of bags and simply said "...wow." We took that as a good sign.

Packing Day ๐Ÿ“ฆ

Set up at 9am. By 9:15 we'd eaten one Nerunerunerune "to check quality." By 9:30, a second one. For comparison purposes.

The packing itself was genuinely joyful. Each box got a curated kit combination. We finished 24 boxes in four hours and celebrated with the Popin' Cookin' ramen kit, standing at the kitchen counter like the professionals we are.

What Comes Next ๐Ÿš€

Those 24 boxes are now heading to subscribers in the US, UK, Australia, Germany, and Singapore. Box #2 has a seasonal theme (mystery for now ๐Ÿ‚) and a new kit we found in Asakusa that we cannot stop thinking about.

From our Shimokitazawa apartment to your door: ใ‚ใ‚ŠใŒใจใ†.
