What is PopnCandy Tokyo?

PopnCandy Tokyo is a monthly subscription box delivering authentic Japanese DIY candy kits (chiikyugashi) straight from Tokyo to your door. Each box contains 12β15 handpicked treats, including at least 2 DIY candy kits, curated around a monthly theme.
What is chiikyugashi (η₯θ²θε)?

Chiikyugashi (η₯θ²θε) means "educational candy" in Japanese. These are hands-on DIY kits β you mix, mold, and build edible miniature foods like sushi, ramen, burgers, and more. They develop creativity and fine motor skills while being completely delicious.
What's inside each box?

Each box contains 12β15 individual candies, including at least 2 types of authentic Japanese DIY candy kits, all curated around a monthly theme β so every box is a new surprise!
What age is it suitable for?
+
Designed for ages 3 and up. Adult supervision recommended for children under 6. Many grown-ups find them just as addictive β you've been warned!
Are there allergens I should know about?

Products are made in Japan and may contain milk, eggs, wheat, soy, and tree nuts. Full ingredient lists are printed on each product in Japanese. If you have severe allergies, please check each item carefully before consuming.
π¦ Managing Your Subscription
How does the subscription work?

Choose a plan (1, 3, 6, or 12 months). We charge your card on your billing date and dispatch your box between the 1st and 5th of each month. You'll receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking number as soon as it leaves Tokyo.
Can I cancel anytime?
+
Yes β cancel at any time through your account settings before your next billing date. No cancellation fees. Your current box will still be shipped as normal.
Can I pause my subscription?
+
Yes. Pause for up to 3 months from your account settings. Pausing before your billing date means you won't be charged or shipped a box for that cycle.
Can I change my subscription plan?
+
Absolutely. Upgrade or downgrade between Monthly, 3-Month, 6-Month, and 12-Month plans at any time from your account page. Changes take effect at your next billing cycle.
How do I update my shipping address?
+
Log in to your account and go to My Subscriptions β Edit Address. Please update before the 1st of the month β boxes already dispatched (1stβ5th) cannot be redirected once shipped.
π³ Billing & Payment
When will I be charged?
+
Your first charge is processed immediately at checkout. For recurring plans, you'll be billed on the same date each cycle. You'll receive an email reminder before each renewal.
What payment methods do you accept?
+
All major credit and debit cards β Visa, Mastercard, American Express β plus PayPal and Shop Pay. All payments are processed securely via Shopify Payments.
What happens if my payment fails?
+
We'll notify you by email and retry automatically after a few days. You can update your payment method in your account settings. If unresolved within 7 days, the subscription will be paused until updated.
Can I get a refund?

Once a box has shipped, full refunds aren't possible. However, if your box arrives damaged or items are missing, email support@popncandytokyo.com with a photo within 14 days β we'll sort it with a replacement or partial refund.

Will I get a tracking number?

Yes! You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number once your box ships. Track via Japan Post's international tracking.
My package hasn't arrived β what should I do?
+
Check your tracking number via Japan Post first. If there's no movement for more than 2 weeks, or the estimated window has passed, contact us at support@popncandytokyo.com and we'll investigate immediately.
What if my box arrives damaged or items are missing?
+
Email support@popncandytokyo.com within 14 days of delivery with a photo of the damaged items. We'll send a replacement or issue a refund β no hassle, guaranteed.
Will I have to pay customs or import duties?

US subscribers: $3.00 duty pre-paid at checkout (DDP) β no surprises.
Other countries: Most shipments pass through duty-free. Local import taxes may apply in some regions, but are rare for small candy packages.

π Gift Plans
Can I buy a box as a gift?

Absolutely! Select the gift option at checkout to enter the recipient's shipping address. A 3-month or 6-month gift makes an especially magical present for curious kids (and adults!).
Will the recipient be charged for renewal?
+
No. Gift plans are one-time purchases β the recipient won't be automatically charged when the gift period ends. They'll receive a friendly notice if they'd like to continue.
